Each athlete must pay $40 cash to cover athlete hotel rooms and Saturday lunch items in vans. You will need money for Friday supper and Saturday supper.
Vans depart Friday before school ends.
Loading vans at HS at 1:00, departing at 1:20 PM.
Team shake-out run and stretch/core in Duluth at hotel
We will eat supper in Duluth at approximately 7 PM.
We will stay at Holiday Inn Express in Duluth Friday night (4725 Market Street, Duluth, MN)
Wake up at 6:30 AM, breakfast!
Load vans at 7:00 AM.
Coaches meeting @ 9:30 AM.
We are only taking vans so we'll have to set up a spot in the basement of the Giant's Ridge hotel on race day
Athletes will need money for Friday supper (restaurant) and Saturday supper (probably Subway)
One van will be leaving early after the classic races to return around 7:00 PM
Rest of team will return to Winona Saturday evening around 11:00 PM
Have homework to keep you preoccupied
Saturday Forecast:
Colder - highs 14-25 degrees and sunny
Race goal 1: skate and classic race warm-up including several fast transitions into/out of steep climbing and fast V1/flying herring-bone
Race goal 2: ski the crap out of the classic and skate courses, meaning go into the hurt zone and keep fast, quick tempo; you're only skiing one 5k race Saturday
